26 weeks. 26 issues. Here are the 5 you actually read.
Half the year is gone.
I sent you 26 issues since January. I did not miss a week since February. That was the only promise I made myself when I started this thing.
Some issues landed. Some did not.
I looked at the numbers this week to find out which ones you actually opened, clicked, and passed along. The answer surprised me a little.
Here are the 5 that mattered most.
1. The Personal Financial Statement App
More of you clicked this than anything else all year.
A free tool that builds a clean personal financial statement. No spreadsheet. No formatting. The kind of document your lender asks for and you dread building.
The lesson for me was simple. You do not want more opinions. You want tools that save you a night.

2. The Death Binder
The only topic I ran twice, because it worked twice.
In January I wrote about what happens to your family when nobody can find the accounts. In June we gave you the actual thing. A free, private binder to organize everything in one place. Nothing gets stored on our servers.
It is still free. It still takes about an hour.

We built a tool you can use, just email me back and I will send it to you.
3. Messy Books Are Costing You Money
The most read issue of the year.
Not the most fun one. The most read. That tells me something about what keeps you up.
Bad books do not just make tax season painful. They cost you real money in missed deductions, bad decisions, and deals that fall apart during diligence.

4. Is SaaS Dead?
You read this one about 4 times each.
I am not exaggerating. The reopen rate on this issue was 4 times higher than anything else I sent. Something in it hit a nerve about where software, and pricing, and AI are all headed.
If you skipped it, go back.

5. You Can’t Be Both a Good Businessman and a Good Father
The one you shared.
This got forwarded and posted more than any other issue by a wide margin.
It was also the hardest one to write. My father died in February. He started this firm in 1964. I would not be where I am today without him.
Turns out the honest ones travel.

One small favor
I write this every week for about 800 people.
That number has barely moved all year. Not because people leave. They do not. It is because almost nobody new finds it.
So here is my only ask this week.
Forward this to 1 person who would get something out of it. One client. One partner. One friend who owns something and worries about it.
That is it. No form. No download.
Thanks for reading for 6 months. See you Saturday.
