President and Managing Partner
Vince Porter, CPA
Vince Porter is the second-generation leader of Porter & Company CPAs; a firm rooted in family values and forward-thinking strategies. After earning his BBA in Accounting and Finance from Texas State University in San Marcos, Vince began his career as a tax associate at a large accounting firm. In 2005, he joined the family business and soon stepped into the role of President and CEO, following his father’s retirement.
With over two decades of experience, Vince is a Texas CPA and is a proud member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of CPAs. Under his leadership, the firm has evolved to provide high-touch advisory services to high-net-worth entrepreneurs, real estate investors, and family-owned businesses navigating generational transitions.
Vince was recognized as a Top 40 Under 40 CPA by CPA Practice Advisor and has been featured by CNN Money, UpJourney, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the Grow Your Firm Podcast, and other respected platforms. His mission is to help clients grow and protect their wealth through strategic tax planning, clean financials, and sound business advice.
Director of Client Accounting Services
Melissa Armstrong
Melissa serves as the Director of Client Accounting Services at Porter & Company CPAs, where she leads the accounting department with precision and a commitment to client success. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University, with a concentration in Forensic Accounting and Fraud Examination.
Melissa joined the firm in June 2022, bringing with her a diverse background that includes experience as a Compliance Analyst in the financial services industry and a bookkeeper for a real estate firm. Her analytical mindset and attention to detail have made her a trusted advisor for clients seeking accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting.
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, getting lost in a good book, and giving back to her community through volunteer work.
Tax Partner and Director of Compliance
Faisal Said, CPA
Faisal serves as both the Director of Compliance and a Partner at Porter & Company CPAs, where he plays a key leadership role in upholding the firm’s high standards in tax strategy and regulatory adherence. He holds a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas—go Comets! —and brings a strong blend of technical expertise and practical insight to the team.
Known for his analytical mindset and steady leadership, Faisal is also a true team player who brings a thoughtful, client-first approach to every engagement. Outside the office, he’s a devoted Cowboys and Mavericks fan, an avid reader, and a competitive chess player who enjoys quality time with his family.

Executive Assistant
Bree Dyer
At Porter & Company CPAs, our Administrative Department is the heartbeat of the firm, quietly powering our operations, enhancing client experiences, and supporting every corner of the organization. From managing internal systems to ensuring a seamless client journey, this team keeps things moving behind the scenes with precision, professionalism, and care.
Leading the department is Bree Dyer, our Executive Assistant to the Firm Leadership. Bree joined the firm in October 2022 and has quickly become an integral part of both our leadership support and firmwide operations. A proud graduate of Oklahoma State University—go Pokes! Bree spent five years as a classroom teacher before transitioning into the accounting world. Her background in education, eye for detail, and natural leadership make her uniquely equipped to guide the administrative team and foster a culture of excellence.
Outside of work, Bree enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with family and friends, and getting outdoors with her beloved pup, Murphy.
